"Settings & Stills" features the works of selected members of the Guild of Eugene Metalsmiths (GEM) and the still lifes by Eugene painter Sarah Sedwick. Artworks by GEM members include a variety of jewelry created with precious and non-precious stones, sculpture, and functional metal work. In her still lifes, Sarah Sedwick explores the idea of light and color as she recreates everyday objects. Join us on Friday, January 14th for the Opening Reception where singer and guitarist Steven Weeks from local band Free Bananas will perform from 6-8pm.

Join us for an evening with “Settings & Stills” featured artists and Guild of Eugene Metalsmiths members Tracey Bell, Margaret O’Brien, and Brooke Stone. During this presentation, each artist will talk about her artwork, share her inspiration, and discuss the process and techniques used to create jewelry. Demonstrations will include chasing and repoussé (the process of using hammers and tools to form metal), wax preparation for casting, and chain making.
